Yalman Onaran

Discusses if the USA Defaults, what might happen.

Onaran has been with Bloomberg News since 1998, serving as Turkey bureau chief among many roles. He was covering Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns when they became the first to fall in the financial crisis. As a senior writer, he now pens feature articles about banking issues worldwide, comparing European banks to their U.S. counterparts.

His first book, Zombie Banks, about the unresolved troubles of banks in both continents, was published in November 2011. He has degrees from the College of Wooster in Ohio and Columbia University in New York. Before joining Bloomberg, he worked for the Associated Press.
